Cattailz.org is a non profit 501 (c) 3
Cattailz mission is simple - to save lives!
Our main goal is to TNR (trap-neuter-return), provide medical care, food and shelter and colonize every stray, feral and community cat we come in contact with, in Parker County and Tarrant County, Texas.
During "kitten season", when shelters are over capacity, we pull from the smaller rural Texas shelters to prevent code red cats and kittens from euthanasia to find them loving fur-ever homes online and at our local adoption events.
Cattailz believes if we can alter (spay or neuter) every cat and kitten, THIS is only effective way to solve the problem of overpopulation of stray and feral cats and overcrowded shelters resulting in unnecessary euthanasia.
What we don't do...
- Accept abandoned kittens
- Trap for you
- Move or relocate a feral colony
PLEASE BE AWARE:
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT FERAL AND COMMUNITY CATS REMAIN IN THEIR OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT. THEY HAVE STRONG CONNECTIONS TO THEIR HOMES. RELOCATING THEM CAN MEAN LIFE OR DEATH! LEAVE THEM WHERE THEY ARE!!!
Kittens as well! Why add kittens to an already over crowded adoption/shelter environment?!
Speaking of kittens, if you find baby kittens, please give the mama cat time to return to her babies and do not take them. Most oftentimes, the mother cat will return. Keep an eye out, and in the event she does not, reach out to a reputable rescue.
